The Compassionate Friends 

Provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family.

Bereaved Parents of the USA

Supports bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents by holding monthly chapter meetings, educating on the grieving process, providing a national newsletter, and more.

Children’s Bereavement Center

Provides free Peer Support Groups for children, young adults, and adult caregivers after the death of a loved one.

The March of Dimes

Funds lifesaving research and programs and works to end premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality. You will also find a great many resources on their site including ones related to complications and child loss.

Preemie Parent Alliance

Represents organizations that provide support to parents of preemies as well as provides NICU and preemie-related resources.

Hand to Hold 

Carefully matches seasoned parents of preemies with parents in need of support. These peer-to-peer relationships offer the chance to receive support from someone who is uniquely familiar with the experience of preterm birth, life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a child born with special health care needs, loss of pregnancy and/or infant loss.

Beyond Tears: Living After Losing a Child 

A book sharing the story of nine mothers who each lost a child and met in a support group. They give comfort and direction to bereaved parents in a chorus of supportive voices.

Comfort: A Journey Through Grief

A moving and remarkable memoir about the sudden death of a daughter, surviving grief, and learning to love again.
